Purple Sandpipers in a gale

Having parked at the harbour in Arbroath to go to the Covid clinic, it seemed appropriate I should have a good look around the harbour and marina.
The first and perplexing bird I saw was distant, I had no optics and it disappeared, was it a Little Auk beside a Guillemot! Back with optics and it's almost certain that I'd had a brief view of a Little Grebe in the gloom, the whole length of the marina away.
I was a bit late in finding some Purple Sandpipers, I thought, then I noticed it was only 1430 but it was dark! I'll have to go back again but when I'm not at risk of getting blown into the harbour.
