Forfar Loch, birdies not bridies!

Nothing unusual at Forfar Loch for the time of year and less to see due to the strong winds. Goldcrests at two places were a bonus and Bullfinches posed at the platform, with 18 Oystercatchers on the Sailing Club spit.

Murton is still high but there were more birds around, with a few Lapwings and Oystercatchers. Some brief excitement when a female Sparrowhawk flushed all of the Wigeon and Teal into the water.

The Redshank video is special (I think), the Tufted Ducks are looking for a mate which reminded me of the Marine in Arbroath where I spent many a Saturday night, doing the same!

Redshank in the Brothock Burn at Arbroath Harbour, usually they are very wary and the first birds to spot danger and cause everything to flee. This bird with the one below looked to be courting and only a few metres apart and so calm that I watched and filmed them from 6 metres away
