Black Swan, Kinnaber

I've only ever seen a Black Swan once before and many years ago and distant, and Olive wanted to go a walk, so off we went to Kinnaber where the River North Esk flows into the sea, hoping a reported Black Swan was still there, it was.

More photos from 20/5/2025 back to 16/5/2025 were mostly taken in my garden where 60+ Starlings were a constant presence, making a racket, juveniles chasing and begging to their parents, and spending lots of time in a makeshift bath. Every now and then they'd flush when a Rook came in, and they in turn bullied the Tree Sparrows and Yellowhammers. I also had my first Swifts doing flypasts looking for nest holes, I'm hoping they use my roof again this year.
