Climate Change affecting Angus Bird-watching Sites

A trip to Backwater Dam, Lintrathen and Kinnordy was an anti-climax, the first two which are reservoirs had very low water levels, the lowest I've seen. I've retrospectively added two phone photos of the mud and vegetation at the west end of Backwater Dam.
Backwater had 3 Buzzards, some Meadow Pipits, 16 Canada Geese, 2 Herons, Mallards, Wigeon and a single Cormorant.

Lintrathen was just as disappointing, even the elevated hide was inaccessible and locked because of a Wasps nest, the only highlight being 2 Black-tailed Godwits and 8 Snipe. A bonus was a single Nuthatch near the parking area which made its way along the roadside trees.

Kinnordy was very quiet, and many of the open spaces filled with reeds obscuring any birds that might have been there.

I then moved to Lunan Bay and got interested/obsessed in the Sanderlings near the water's edge on the south of the river. The day before I'd seen two Arctic Skuas chasing Terns when I didn't have a camera, this time it was the other way around.
